This blend is ideal for everyday muscle aches as well as being the ideal choice for before or after a sporting event. The oils in this blend have been chosen for the following reasons:
Arnica Oil is made from the arnica plant and is beneficial for muscle aches or injured muscles, sprains, bruises, dislocations, swelling due to fractures, rheumatic pain, and inflammation from insect bites. It makes an excellent massage medium for sport injuries and sore muscles, as it helps to reduce bruising and relaxes tense muscles.
Lime for its refreshing, uplifting and active qualities. Lime can improve the circulation thus helping to flush toxins out of the body more efficiently. Lime can also help relieve painful joints associated with arthritis and rheumatism.
Eucalyptus Blue Gum for it’s stimulating, refreshing and regulating properties. It is also a mild analgesic so can offer a little pain relief. In addition, Eucalyptus Blue Gum can help with muscular aches and pains, sprains and it promotes healing. As with Lime it also helps improve circulation and is known to help with nervous fatigue, headaches, rheumatoid arthritis and neuralgia.
English Lavender for it’s analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It can promote rapid healing and has been used to relieve muscular pain and arthritis. Lavender can be rubbed on to the forehead to ease a headache or the abdomen to ease menstrual pain.
Black pepper for its strengthening, comforting and analgesic properties. It helps with muscle aches and pains, stiffness and fatigue, poor circulation, poor muscle tone. Black pepper also acts as a mental stimulant or tonic, and has restorative and antiseptic properties. It is also known to help with neuralgia and arthritis.
Take care on sensitive skin as black pepper and eucalyptus can cause skin irritation. Avoid during pregnancy as this blend includes arnica oil which contains a compound that can induce labour.
